Moussa Palace
|
Dream, work, truth.
Faith in God, satisfaction of his parents.
That is what characterized the personality of the man, who built a fortress on a summit between Deir El Qamar and beiteddine,
and engraved on its stones his idea and beliefs.
Moussa Al Maamari was born in July 27, 1931 in the village of Harat Al Saraya.
His dream was born when he was only 14 years old, after the middle ages had conquered his mind.
He dreamt of building a great fortress with his hands, turning sand into gold (as his mother predicted).

Moussa

Beaten by his teacher Anwar and mocked at by his classmates, especially one of the girls, his life totally changed.
He escaped from school and went Sidon, where he worked with his uncle in restoring Sidon's fortress.
He was then transferred, thanks to his competence, to the castle of Beiteddine where he restored the museum of Amir Bashir Chehabi.
He supervised as well the transfer of the Amir's weapons, clothes and the jewelry of his wives in the museum.
He was paid back more then fifteen thousand Lebanese Lira.
